教学目标

知识目标:

能力目标:

(1)使学生能听懂与课文难度相当的短文,并能回答教师提出的问题。

(2)使学生能读懂课文并能根据上下文判断出课文生词的大意,回答课后的问题。

(3)使学生能熟练运用形容词和副词的比较级和最高级的变化和相关句型进行口头和笔头练习。

(4)使学生能运用本课所授交际用语讨论中美农场的差别和农村和城市的差别。

情感目标

通过教学,使学生领略到农村大自然的清新、淳朴。

通过教学使学生树立志向,认真学习知识,投身事业。

教学建议

教学重点:形容词副词比较级和最高级的用法和相关句型,本单元重点词组。

教学难点:多音节和少数双音节形容词和副词的比较级和最高级形式和少数不规则变化。

学法指导

本单元的主要话题是比较中国的农场和美国的农场,同时也将农村与城市的生活进行比较。这是一个将形容词和副词的比较级派上用场的语境。因此,可采用研究式学习方式,比较法、操练法相结合的学习。同学们可结合已学的颜色、季节、食物、运动等名词开展自由讨论,熟练以上的句型。

语法建议

(1) 情景教学,教师可以使用图片展示运动员在运动场上的情景如跑步,赛车等活动,让学生先运用形容词比较级和最高级的相关句型对运动员进行描述再运用副词的比较级和最高级的相关句型对运动情景进行口头和笔头的描述。

(2)先复习前一单元所学的形容词比较级与最高级的构成和使用,用old, small,到young等词进行复习检测,然后将这些词变成beautiful, interesting, exciting等词进行本单元的重点内容讲解。具体方法可以通过实物、图片或简笔画对两种或两种以上的东西进行对比。

(3)在引入本课语法项目时,教师可以先出示一些形容词和副词,请几个学生在黑板上写出这些词的比较级形式和最高级形式,其它学生在笔记本上写。这些词中有一些不规则的动词和多音节词。然后对学生的错误进行纠正,加深学生印象,再帮助学生自己总结规律,并列出此表。

2)在多音节和部分双音节的形容词和副词前加上more 或most。

有关第13课的导入

(1)导语。上次我们一起度过了中秋节。今天我们去农场看一看。此时教师让学生先闭上眼睛。教师播放事先准备好的录音播放,如鸟叫,羊叫等声音。同时出示放大图片选自课本16页图1,制造出一种身临其境的氛围。

(2)图画内容简介。教师可以就图片内容进行提问:What is this? It is a picture of a farm。 What is on the farm? There are some dogs, some cows, hills, and some trees and so on 。此时,利用图片讲解部分新单词。

(3)组织学生学习对话。教师也可以播放媒体动画,制造情景。内容详见本单元媒体素材中的动画。

口语训练建议

(1)本单元的口语训练应侧重于运用形容词和副词的比较级的相关句型介绍比较中美农场的异同和农村与城市的差异,教师组织学生就两个主题进行讨论,在讨论之前要求学生先要熟练掌握课文内容,否则学生说不出,将起不到预期的效果。

比气球

(1)教师可以准备一些气球,分给每人一个。学生三人一组。

(2)教师先给学生2分钟把气球吹起来。

然后举着气球用英语进行讨论。使用下列句型:

Whose ball is the biggest?

Whose ball is the most beautiful?

(3)教师对表现出色,讨论情况好的组进行表扬。

出墙报

教师组织学生收集有关美国乡村的材料,出一期墙报,体会中美文化差异。

要求:

(1)学生利用业余时间自己从报刊杂志书籍或网上搜集材料。

(2)篇幅不宜过长,中英文均可,图文并茂。

(3)要求学生以小组为单位进行讨论,每组4人或5人皆可。

(4)内容以介绍美国农村生活为主,教师适当给予指导。

(5)评选最优秀的板报,并给予奖励。

投票选举活动

教师可以组织学生投票选举Who is the most beautiful girl? Who is the strongest student? Who studies hardest? Who runs fast?

(1)教师让学生事先准备好选票四张。先以小组为单位就以上问题进行讨论。

(2)然后用简单的英语句子写出被选者,注意要使用形容词和副词的最高级。学习好的学生可以写明这样选的原因。

(3)教师对获奖者给予奖励。

教师可以组织学生到农村进行一次郊游。去之前教师要求学生注意观察,回来时要求学生填写此表。
